This past weekend was FishStock 2011. I had the pleasure of fishing a two woman team. Morgan Woessner and another angler were on their game. Morgan lead after day one with a 6.36 lb. red and Nina weighed a red and trout. The final pushed Morgan from the lead by less than 3.0 ounces. Welcome to the home of Shaky's Charter Service. Your one stop shop for all your inshore fishing needs. Whether your a serious angler of just enjoy being on the water I have a charter for you. I specialize in shallow water "sight fishing" and will put you on some of East Central Florida's most productive waters. Here at the Space Coast we are very fortunate to have large resident schools of gamefish. Whether you stalking a big Redfish or that once of a lifetime Seatrout they are only a phone call and a cast away. Depending on the time of year other species that are available to target are Snook, Tarpon, Jack Crevalle and Black Drum. Livebait, Artificial and Fly Fisherman charters are available depending on the clients preference.
Our primary fishing area includes the "World Famous" Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon. Located between New Smyrna Beach and Titusville Florida. These are the areas you've read about, seen on Television and dreamt about fishing. Home to many IGF Line Class Records, Moquito Lagoon is on the bucketlist of any angler. These are some of the most pristine waters you will ever see. Abundent in it's wildlife and it's gin clear water and grassy flats, the Canaveral National Seashore and Merrit Island Wildlife Refuge are a one of a kind fisheries. Having more than 100 miles of undeveloped shoreline gives anglers an adventure away from the stress of everyday life. Bordered to the East by Kennedy Space Center anglers will be fishing just outside it's boundries. Anglers fishing the South end of the Lagoon will be in sight of the NASA Launchpads and Vehicle Assemby Building. Sight to all of those famous Shutlle Launches.
Located just one hour from Walt Disney World and other Central Florida "Orlando" attractions along Florida's " East Coast". Mosquito Lagoon or the Halifax River System is a short drive from any Central Florida destination. Based out of the Port Orange / Daytona Beach area we are only minutes from the North end of Mosquito Lagoon.
When you are ready to tackle a line class record or just have a relaxing day on the water contact me. I have been fishing these waters since 1983 and it is my goal to have all my clients return to the dock having the day of their life and wanting more. For the Freshwatere Angler I offer Speckled Perch "Crappie" charters here in Volusia and Flagler County Florida. Anglers can count on large numbers of fish while being instucted on the water. These trips are only offered from January to April based on the Perch spawn.
